12.2 inch iPad Pro

12.2 inch iPad Pro

To illustrate the already gathered information the folks at tech channel Canoopsy have prepared a video with a 12.2 inch mockup device, constructed in typical Apple fashion. In it the new form factor gets sized up against a variety of other i-devices spanning all the way from the iPhone 5 to the iPad Air 2. It turns out that the future iPad Pro is pretty comparable to a 13-inch MacBook Pro, with almost the same height and a little less width.

If other rumors are to be believed, the future tablet should also feature a 7mm thick body as well as four speakers, to provide stereo sound in any orientation. In any case we are excited to see what Apple has in store for us in 2015.

After mobile phones its time for Xiaomi Laptop

Xiaomi Laptop

Xiaomi had an impressive year when it came to device sales across segments and markets, including the Indian market.
A new leak tips that the company is gearing up to enter the PC segment with the launch of its first laptop. Gizmo China claims to have received some details of the configuration of the alleged Mi laptop alongside the purported pricing of the device.
According to the leaked details, the rumoured Xiaomi laptop will feature a large 15-inch display with a full-HD (1080p) resolution. The laptop is said to pack an Intel Haswell processor (Core i7-4500U) and feature two 8GB dual channel memory modules, which means it will pack a total of 16GB of RAM. The publication also claims that the Chinese brand will price its first laptop at as low as CNY 2,999 (Rs. 30,700 approximately).
The alleged Mi laptop has been also leaked in few images that show similar design aesthetics to Apple's Macbook Air range, featuring a similar colour scheme, bezel size, keyboard style, and other details.
The laptop is seen sporting 'Mi' branding just below the screen, while another logo is present at the back where the Apple logo would be engraved on Macbook Air laptops. The report speculates that the first Xiaomi laptop will run a "customised Linux OS".
So far, no announcement regarding Xiaomi's first laptop has been made by the Chinese company.

One Plus Two

Since the OnePlus Two was announced there are number of rumors and reports coming in as to what the device will be like. One of the rumor is OnePlus Two will come with two screens.

There is a Chinese online retailer has suddenly started listing the OnePlus Two for preorder.OnePlus Two does look like the OnePlus One (with no secondary screen on the back as previously rumored). In terms of the specs, the retailer lists the OnePlus Two will come with a 5.5” TPS Energy-efficient display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside the device comes with 3GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor (clocking at 2.7GHz). In terms of cameras, the device comes with a 16MP rear camera along with a 5MP front shooter. Additional features include 2G, 3G, 4G and running on Color OS.

The first OnePlus smartphone runs CyanogenMod’s own custom ROM built upon Android and many expected that it would appear on the OnePlus Two as well. However, CEO Peter Lau recently told a Chinese publication that he has a team working on a home-grown custom ROM for the next phone. The startup smartphone maker says the in-house ROM will only ship on units that are bound for China. Other versions of the OnePlus Two will operate on a different system, though the team did not confirm whether that ROM will be from CyanogenMod or not.

Puzzlephone

Puzzlephone

The smart choice designed to last and satisfy your present and future needs.
You know, GREEN is more than a colour ;)
Finland's Circular Devices is developing an alternative concept called the Puzzlephone, which breaks the handset down into three constituent elements. The phone's Spine provides the LCD, speakers and basic structure, its Heart contains the battery and secondary electronics, and its Brain has the processor and camera modules.

It's a simpler take on the modular device idea that stirred a lot of interest and support last year with Dave Hakkens' Phonebloks project, which gave rise to Project Ara. Smartphones are useful because they integrate a lot of functionality and hardware into one compact package, but that also leads to a lot of waste when any one part breaks down or needs to be upgraded. Should devices like the Puzzlephone or Ara ever take off, users would be able to swap out an aging processor or battery without sacrificing a perfectly good display and set of speakers.
Formally founded in September of this year and based in Espoo, the home of Nokia, the company behind the Puzzlephone has been working on the project since 2013 and is approaching the stage where it can produce working prototypes. Circular Devices plans to release the first Puzzlephone at a mid-range price in the second half of 2015, provided it can secure the funding and support to make it a reality. Focusing on setting open source standards, the company would use a forked version of Google's Android OS to start with, but will look to support other alternatives while defining a consistent hardware spec for third-party phone manufacturers. It's a very ambitious project that aims to make the mobile industry more sustainable over the long term. Whether it pans out successfully will depend on our appetite for modularity and upgradeability in our devices over more superficial factors like thinness.

BlackBerry Rio aka Z20

BlackBerry Rio aka Z20

Earlier this week, new details surrounding BlackBerry’s upcoming Rio smartphone spilled out to the public. Now, we’re getting a quick look at the device along with a bit of additional information courtesy of BlackBerry-focused blog N4BB.
From a design perspective, the Rio looks pretty similar to the BlackBerry Z3 that it’s reportedly set to replace. The Rio looks like it will  have a longer glass panel to protect the rear camera, a bigger speaker on the back and a white variant. Otherwise, the two 5-inch smartphones look almost identical on the surface.
BlackBerry seems to have a very specific target in mind with the Rio, describing someone who needs a budget-friendly smartphone that’s still impressive.
The specifications for the BlackBerry Rio include a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display; dual-core 1.5 GHz processor coupled with 2GB of RAM; an 8-MP rear camera with Flash;
a 2-MP front camera; 16GB internal storage with expandability via microSD card (unknown capacity), and 2800mAh battery. Connectivity options are said to include Penta Band LTE + 4G Hotspot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, and Miracast.

MacBook Air

MacBook Air

There are new rumors that the refreshed MacBook Air — and its bevy of improvements — will not only be announced at WWDC, but that it will ship at or soon after the conference. 9to5Mac reports that globally stores are already starting to receive the MBA SKUs, which hints at a speedy ship date.

So far, not much has been said about the form factor — just that it will continue the slim profiles the Airs are known for — so the sex appeal would presumably come “under the hood.” The buzz around this center on a few hot areas:

Intell chip (improving battery life by 50 percent)
1080p FaceTime camera (a first for the Air)
dual-microphone system (like the MacBook Pro)
802.11ac WiFi (with speeds that pants 802.11b/g and even n)

DigiTimes also added that the new MacBook Air will sport a thinner chassis making the device lighter. This is backed up by reports that the laptop will come with Intel's new Broadwell chipsets set to be launched next year. Packing the said processor will make the laptop sport a fanless design, which will remove the added weight in the device. Apart from 12-inch Retina screen display, other features expected to be included are a new USB Type-C port and better battery capacity.

The laptop will be manufactured by Quanta Computer and will have limited quantities. The 12-inch MacBook Air will target the high-end market, and consumers can expect top-of-the-line specs and features packed in the device. This is Apple's way of ensuring its top place in the market.

Rumors claimed that Apple will release the MacBook Air alongside the MacBook Pro, refreshing the whole line of MacBooks. However, Apple has not commented on the rumors yet.

iPhone 6 mini

Looking at the larger smartphones, there's definitely demand for the compact models in the market. Since there are iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models available but it seems people still prefer compact phones.
iPhone 6 Plus serves both the purpose of tablet and a phone.

The rumor comes through Timothy Arcuri, the Apple analyst for research firm Cowen & Company. Arcuri suggested that Apple could release an iPhone 6s next year, melding the iPhone 5s dimensions with the new generation's curved-edge design. If Arcuri's latest prediction about the iPhone 6s mini comes true, then the smartphone will replace the iPhone 5c, which is currently Apple's low-end handset. Being a low-end phone, the iPhone 6s mini is also expected to have low-cost internals to keep the price low.
In 2014, Apple launched the iPhone 6, with a 4.7-inch screen, and iPhone 6 Plus, which has a 5.5-inch display. Previous to the latest iPhone 6, the iPhone 5 line had a 4-inch display while older ones used 3.5-inch screens. However, rumors suggest that Apple is working on a 4-inch device once again and it will be the mini version of the iPhone 6s,which is estimated for a 2015 launch.

CICRET BRACELET

TWIST YOUR WRIST TO TURN IT INTO A SMARTPHONE

The device turns into a smartphone every time you twist your wrist.

The Cicret Bracelet, designed over the course of 6 months, comprises a pico projector and a row of eight proximity sensors that point towards the user’s forearm. It operates as a standalone device and, when activated with a twist of the wrist, projects an Android interface onto the user’s arm.
The proximity sensors detect where the user’s finger or fingers are and allow them to interact with the interface as they would any other Android device, ‘Gizmag’ reported.
The device will allow users to send and receive emails, browse the web and play games. It will also be possible for users to pair it with an existing smartphone, answer incoming phone calls and activate the speakerphone functionality on their smartphone.
The Cicret Bracelet features an accelerometer and a vibration module, along with an LED for notifications. Connectivity is provided by way of WiFi, Bluetooth and a Micro USB port. It is expected to be made available in 16 GB and 32 GB models.

The device could cost up to $400 and reach the mass market within a year and a half.
